A Celebration of Years

And in a couple years from now it'll all seem so mundane.
Our picture on the nightstand, that's how we'll know it's real.
We'll wake up every morning and think,

"How could we have ever gone without this?"

    The picture on the nightstand will be a memory. A collaboration of memories. That picture will symbolize us, and everything we've gone through. One look, and the memories will flood back. They won't be happy; they were never meant to be, but at least every morning, when I wake up and see that photo, I'll finally realize that it's all over.

    That I actually made it through alive.

    Our home will be filled with memories, not all are good... but we lived our lives the best we could, and that's all we needed.
